About Us
Rose and Jamie met in 2006 with the love of Experiential Play Therapy in common. They began training with international experts Drs. Byron and Carol Norton (Experiential Play Therapy) and Dr. Barbara Turner (Jungian Sandplay) to become top quality play therapists and earn their RPT-S (registered play therapist-supervisor) certifications through the Association for Play Therapy. While they are practicing play therapists, they also believe play therapy needs to grow and become a widely-known form of mental health therapy for children. Training and supervising therapists on their journey to RPT is an exciting part of Counseling and Play Therapy Center.
In the course of finding quality trainings, Rose and Jamie traveled great distances from their rural Buffalo, Wyoming, location. Their belief in the healing powers of Experiential Play Therapy and Sandplay led them to create and host the best training possible at minimal cost to therapists.
